a question about the serialkey

Hello! I just bought the game today and Immediatly updated it with the 1.1 patch and when I started the game I had to be registered at galciv2.com. Now, lets say that I want to play this game and I dont have a internet connection, will it work?

Is it just the 1.1 patch that needs a internet connection while the 'raw' install only needs the serial printed on one of my Cd's?

Correct, v1.1 and higher require activation. To play on a non-Internet connected PC, you can activate via email. Just follow the instructions at the URL below.
