Exactly buy it in a store - almost every game store I shop at has multiple copies on the shelf. As for giving you a serial I don't see anyone with a brain doing that as it would keep them from playing the game they themselves paid for...

What, did you get thrown off the Taleworlds.com boards for asking the same question? Geesh, they let you play the game as much as you want for free up to level 6. They are being very generous with the demo version and the fact that whatever you pay for the beta, you will get the full version at no additional cost. Don't be greedy, buy it and support the developers hard work. The game is only $18.00, if you can not afford that, you have no business playing games.

I do not think Stardock would tolerate this sort of thing anymore that Taleworlds would.

Sorry kid, but I cannot publically condone piracy.. err wait, I mean I NEVER EVER condone piracy, and certainly never, EVER practice it.

Really <_<.

Anyways, I called the FBI, and they're on their way to your house right now.

It's not a retail game. even though it may seem so, EA, Ubisoft, and Stardock don't own the game business. I can understand the temptation to crack a game you can't get, but don't. It's stealing. Get a friend to buy it for you and pay the back. And i you aren't in the US, you can buy the game with paypal, you won't need anything more than an email address and someone to give you paypal funds.

BUT PIRACY = BAD!

BAN THE PIRATE!

Great game by the way.

And seriously, if you're going to ask someone to break the law online, the least you could do is actually write out "PLEASE" you lazy cracker (<-- not a racial slur. It is the correct term for someone who bypasses computer protection systems with cracks, not hacker.)

There are plenty of ways to buy a game online without resorting to 'LOLZ CRACZOR': M&B accepts all kinds of things like paypal, even money orders. The game is about as indie as you can get, and costs a whole US$12 last time I checked - you'd have to be pretty lame to crack it (and this coming from ME).

Anyway, isn't asking for cracks etc an immediate IP ban? It really should be.

... I'm not sure whats dumber, advertising that your trying to pirate a game on the games offical boards or expecting people to help you...

People of Earth behold... I give you our next generation, feel free to shudder.

I hate to be this way, but I have to tell you that pirating games, ESPECIALLY some independent programmer's hard work, makes you an enemy of pc games and gamers. It hurts our future as gamers because people like you made Starforce come into existence.
There's simply no excuse for that.

I don't care how old you are, or poor you are, breaking the law is never acceptable.
Now go play outside with your friends. It's free, and you don't need a credit card.

Edit: And yes, as stated, you can pay via a money order.

Actually money order is difficult for M&B, as the company is in Turkey

but seriously:

surtak: there's a reason Janus and Deus Ex chased you off the M&B forums. What you are doing is WRONG. It's that frikkn simple.

What do you mean, not in retail? I bought mine at Best Buy in a retail box.
CompUSA also carries it.

Oh it *WAS* that guy! Thanks for the mental link, QC.

Just in case anyone's in any doubt, Mount & Blade is NOT available in stores anywhere on the planet - at least not legally. If any of these people claiming to have seen such a thing are actually telling the truth, the store in question needs to be informed of this fact.

Independant developers like Armagan and Stardock deserve more respect than that.

Again - M&B is in BETA, it is NOT available commercially. Any copies on store shelves would be illegal. Some retailers might not be aware of this, some might be just plain dishonest. If you don't feel up to confronting the retailer yourself, visit http://www.taleworlds.com and tell the folks there.
