Music volume resetting after loading saved game - bug still present (1.1)

It's a bit annoying to readjust it everytime after loading a save game.

Though the volume slider saves correctly, the true volume level is set to default.
Does everybody play with default volume settings so that so few people notice this obvious bug?

Master of Orion III had a similiar bug (and it was never fixed), here is hope that it will be fixed in GalCiv II eventually

Yep. The bug is still there for me also. And I don't understand what the "Soundtrack changes" and "Music tweaks" are all about in the release notes. The game still only plays one song over and over again for me with no way to switch or go to another track, still no jukebox feature. Damn shame really, the music is actually very good and adds alot.

Methinks they are never going to fix this. :sigh: I get the feeling it's not a big priority for Stardock. All the little interface tweaks are neat and all but I'd like to see them add the features talked about in the manual that still aren't there.

Yeah it is always waaaaaaay too loud. And of course the music tends to get on your nerves after a while too.

I have had this bug too.

Basically, when you start the game the music plays at the default volume, irrespective of what is set in the audio options screen. The audio options screen shows the volume settings correctly - but the music volume bears no relation to the audio settings.

If you adjust the volume bars the music immediately comes to conform to what the audio settings screen shows.

Can a dev comment on this?

I noticed this too, when I loaded a game the sound was at the default volume. However, the sound changed to match my options setting once I hit the Turn button.

Me too. I have a volume knob on my speakers, so I just turn it halfway down until I can get to the volume slider.

The same goes for the background nebula. I turn it nearly all the way off because I can't see anything against it. Every so often, it comes back and I have to restart the game to get rid of it again.

Same problem. Have to reset music volume everytime I restart the game.

I also have this problem. Mine does not reset the volume to saved levels after running a turn though. I have also noticed that when clicking somewhere on the slider to adjust the volume that the level adjusted to is quite a distance down the slider from my mouse curser. I can drag the indicator up and down, but the slider indicator is not under my cursor.

Please allow the sound level for planet invasions to be adjusted.

The sound level resetting problem has been fixed now. Version 1.2 will include this fix.
Thank you all for your help in identifying this bug.
