How to limit techs?

I'm trying to create a custom scenario where weapon/defense techs cut off at a certain level. I know *something* is supposed to go right here:

[TECHNOLOGY]
Starting=0
Restricted=0

I'm just not sure what. : )

taken right out of one of the mission in the campaign:

Starting=7
Starting0=Beam Weapon theory
Starting1=Galactic Warfare
Starting2=Laser
Starting3=PlanetaryImprovements
Starting4=Space Militarization
Starting5=UniversalTranslator

If you can't figure out the pattern, then you shouldn't be modding... I'm sorry.

Can't help but grin.

I couldn't find it with a basic attempt at searching the forums, but there is a thread in the mod folder that covers modding the tech tree in great detail.

huh... I guess I should have said... "if you STILL can't figure out the pattern, then you shouldn't be modding..." but w/e run around calling everyone an obnoxious troll if you want to.
