Argh! I need a good custom color.

Does anybody have a good custom race color that does NOT blend too closely to any of the AI races? I used to pick my color based on which opponents I was going to go up against but with the option to randomly select the AI races, it's impossible to know which color will give me the best contrast vs. the AI.

If anybody has a hex value/rgb value that works well against all the races, please slip it on over. At this point, I'm tempted to go into the .xml files and give one of the major AI races a crappy custom color and take BLUE or RED or LIME GREEN for myself. (the bastids!)

The off whit color they have works pretty well for me. It is similar to the Iconians and the Frox, but even when I share a border with them, its easy to see a diffrence.

I use a dark green color, which is nice since no one has a color close. The only bad thing is it can make it hard to see when zoomed out.

What we really need is a better colour system: with only RGB, you can't easily mess with luminosity or do anything interesting with your primary colour like make it metallic or whatever.

I used dark grey/black but its murder to see on minimap lol. It was definitely unique

I use black, infuence is easy to spot since here isnt much empty spape, medium map. ships dissapear sometimes though, I attribute that to the burmuda triagle......... OF SPACE!!

Thanks for all the suggestions... I've tried using bright orange or pink or even sea-green but the map and ship icons seem to take on a much darker hue than the one that I select during customization.

I've been experimenting with a crappy Easter Egg pale green that seems okay... doesn't blend with the Torians or Altarians.

I used to have a bright orange along with purple (coz in purple I look stunning ) too. Imagine my surprise when my first Excalibur class ship was all orange.
Talk about a pink Shadow Crab.
