What happened to the "Dawn of a new era.....blah blah message...."...?

Am I just confused, more than normal...?

Playing 1.1 beta 4b, and other previous versions, I noticed that you got an announcement and a cut scene video when you made your first medium classed ship.
Now unless I have got it wrong I have made my own medium class ship and got no such announcement or video clip with the final 1.1 patched game.

Has anyone else noticed this or have I missed something...?

Who knows, I once commented that there was a cutscene for medium class ships, but not huge... they may have removed them all for spite.

I haven't had a chance to d/l and see, but would be interesting if they are gone.

Did you build finish building it after you made it in the Ship builder? That might be the problem.

Well I started a new game and designed a medium hulled ship and then started to build it.....

No announcement or cut scene vid once it was complete

Are you sure nobody else had a medium ship? I've gotten the impression that the cutscene only plays if your first frigate is the first frigate in the entire galaxy, which makes sense from the context of the text.

...ah then that *might* just be the issue. I'm not aware of any other opponent having built a frigate before me. And if they had have done would that mean I wouldn;t have got that announcement...?

I am almost sure that every game that I have played I have always had that announcement and I couldn;t have been the first to have built a frigate everytime...?
