Finally. Thanks. Now, how about updated manual? Not necessarily in PDF and with updated pictures.

Staggeringly brilliant patch.

However, please stop SDC recreating the default Start Menu icons every time it patches. Man is that annoying.

+ NEW FEATURE: You can select a planet on the main map and then use Z and X keys to cycle through your planets

The Z and X keys also cycle through planets on the planet screen as well.

Well, considering that they didn't make much effort to make modding easy pre-1.2 (ie, mod directory not working, for example. GC2's current modding abilities are a pretty far cry from most other games), I wouldn't really give them a pat on the back for this. It's more like them living up to their obligations when they said that the game was "moddable".

You could still mod the game, you just had to directly edit files in the directory. The mods folder just lets you keep a clean install.

I'm thinking the poster may be lamenting the lack of scripting or the number of hard-coded options.

Regardless and whatnot. Excellent patch. This is why I bought this game, I knew Stardock supports their products well. I've also found out that I'm the one who suffers most from having tech trading off, and not the AIs

I'm glad my internet mangaed to work long enough for me to dl this. Can't wait to play this.

I'll second the pre-/post-update question from above:

Is 1.1 fully backwards compatible or should I except issues with old saves and/or ongoing games?

Wait... do I hear sleigh bells?

For the people asking about potential save problems. I would say expect some if you are using a previous version save game.

As someone who has been playing most of the betas since 1.0X, I know that there were changes to the save file format and I experienced a few minor weirdies when I was playing a previous version save game with a new version GC2, however YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). Bottom line try it and see but if you have problems try starting a fresh new game. Hope this helps.

@Stardock...Thanks for the update and hard work!

Have a good day.

Playing the first scenario of the campaign on normal the Drengin only ever built M-01 Defenders.
Seemed a little ineffective.

Otherwise, my non-managing of the economy sliders is much more effective, I like it.

Time to move up the difficulty. Play at least on challenging or better on tough.

For the people who where asking about the German version:

yes it is supported, like the beta patch before. So you can update your german version without any problem and everything will be translated and fully functional (I know because i have got the german version myself )

Installed through Stardock Central and V1.1 works fine. Hoping we get an updated list of hotkeys .

Yes, there were changes made to the save process, so if you are playing a game you want to finish, do so before updating.

Ps. Sorry for bad English i´m German and learn English in school for 35 Years!

Hi Hensel, yep we're aware of that one.  Basically in 1.0X it would have crashed too but without the message. The question is, why is Windows telling the game that it's out of memory.

I'm heading out for a vacation but I've told the team that this is the #1 thing to solve so when I get back, expect to 1.2 beta to fix that.  I am very curious to find out the cause myself.

Your English is great.  Ich wünsche, daß ich deutsches besseres sprechen könnte.

I know I'm probably blind, but what are these new hotkeys?

Btw, thanks Stardock, you guys rock. I keep pimping your game on every board I visit. Keep it up!

I'm sure you need a vacation now Frogboy. You'd better call your family too before they send out a search party.
