No Text In Game

Can't play after purchase/download.

I finally finished paying more for the download than the retail box, spent a few hours downloading all of the crap to play the game, load up the game and find there is no text in the entry screen where you select new game etc. I clicked where the text should be and I'm missing text in the setup new game and so on.

This Stardock crap is really ticking me off.

Not Stardock. You must have downloaded the Beta 1.1 4B version. It simply needs a reboot so the fonts are recognized.

(We are all spoiled by XP; in the old days of 9X, you had to reboot after installing a new app. Now only sometimes.)

Whomever invented 'reboot after install' needs to be flogged and/or shot.

There are/were specific reasons, good reasons, for it. Its not that hard to do.

Also make sure that if you updated to beta that your language settings on your PC are set to english, or theres something with language going on.

Outdated video drivers can cause the issue too, even if they don't exhibit it on the unpatched version.

Don't generally have to reboot after install on Linux
