`Failed to update account information`

Refuses to recognise my registration

I bought GC II today and downloaded Stardock. I put in my game details into Stardock so I can d\l the patch. But when I start Stardock, it waits a moment then stays it `failed to update account information`. Nothing seems to fix this.

I then decided to `Enter my stadock account later` after which it downloads some stuff. I get the GCII download to appear, but when i try to download it wants me to register, but it wants me to PAY? When I put in my game`s CD details it says I failed.

What`s wrong? Why won`t Stardock allow me to D\L the beta patchs and wht does it ask me to pay to register?

Please help, it will be appreciated.

Your profile shows you registered a Metaverse character on the 20th - did you install over another version today? May have to do a complete uninstall/reinstall to corrct things.

Also, if you have a European version, there was a problem with the serial Numbers. Go here. https://www.galciv2.com/paradox/

Check out the sticky threads here for tips on those having downlaod/Install issues.

Finally, in the boxed version there are two serial numbers - one on the CD sleeve and one on a piece of paper. Make sure you are using the right one.

If all else fails contact Stardock support. They are very responsive. Best support I've ever had on a game.

Interesting, a complete reinstall fixed it. Maybe it was because I bought the SE version, but had to return it and get the standard?

Whatever, tyhanks for your suggestions, Oldstatesman . It all automatically installed with the beta AI that I was looking forward to.
