What difficulty level does everybody play?

Just a bit of a curiosity, wondered what difficulty level people typically do. I used to do normal, because I thought it would be too hard, but I decided I'd give it a go on challenging but did that in around 5 hours, and decided to do tough which I am doing pretty well. With 41 colonies with Dominion of Korx, I am the largest empire. And the richest.

Currently on crippling ... i triend on masohistic twice but the influence bonus the AI's get is just too much i have to play more to polish my game

Im doing a few games on sub-normal for all 9 races so its at beginner but even though I did like 4 games on that lvl my metals dont say im a biginner.

Tough, with the 'randomise AI' option at the moment.

Normal...can beat that pretty easily but if i move up to challenging..I get my but kicked...so I try both depending on my current self-image.

Well when I got the game I thought if its near Civ 4, I'm about to get my arse handed to me so I played easy (comparable to chieftain I guess). I then went to normal and lingered too long but now went to tough and moving up. If I can do tough on a regular basis its time to up the ante.
