Odd bug...

I had a problem with the previous beta (beta 4 I think) not playing nice with my video card. So this morning, I wake up to a joyous new beta, download install, run, happy happy happy, everything works.
Then I shutdown the pc, wander off and do some real world stuff, come back, and, horror of horrors, whenever I start the game, all I get is a black screen... any ideas?

What I find stange (and I was hoping someone would have some idea about) is that it all worked after updating the game and before the reboot, and that it stopped working after the reboot. I have never encountered such behaviour before....
