Poll Results: Would you recommend GalCiv II?

Poll Results: Would you recommend GalCiv II?

And the next poll

The ultimate verdict on a game is when someone is willing to recommend the game to others. We took a poll to see how many people here would recommend the game to other people. Over 1,500 people responded and over 96% of people said yes. I have to admit, I was surprised (and happy) about the result. Sometimes you read the forums and it sounds like a walking disaster zone in there of people who are mad or wish it was more like some other game or whatever.  For those 4% that aren't satisfied, hopefully 1.1 and future updates will win them over. ;)

Our next poll  will ask, would you purchase a $20 multiplayer only expansion pack. Since development resources are finite, we have to decide whether it makes sense to put them on a future expansion pack that is mainly about multiplayer or mainly about adding other features and content to the game.

Do you people realize how long you may be waiting for the other players to take their turns?Multiplayer is good for RTS but not turned based of this scope.

Multi player pack. Yes, please make it already.

My gang bought this game on the great graphics and turn based play, we just assumed (yeah I know) that it had multiplayer ability since like everything does. $20 is a lot for something that (arguably) should have been in the orginal release, but it looks like we have no other choice if we want to play...

I'm not a computer scientist, My tutorial skips & I can't follow along. The game crashes all the time. I get my butt kick in easy play. i'm pissed & won't play it at all. I feeI I have been ripped off on this game. Being a turn based game, I figured it would be a muti-player game. This game is not worth the money I paid. Finding support is like finding a combination to a lock! I'm not happy at all with this piece of junk! Back to Space Empires IV for me!!!!!!!! Reading thru some of these comments, I had to read my box again about if its a single or multi player game. No where does it say single player game.

It works fine for me, and I love it.

No where does it say single player game.

Nowhere does it say multiplayer game either. I think you'll find, multiplayer games have things like "Internet Connection Required for Online Play" under the System Requirements section. You could have checked reviews too, they would have told you.

I dunno if I would buy a $20 multiplayer exspansion. I would however buy a $25 single player exspansion. Large scale TBS games don't seem fun to me as multiplayer games. I would however love a new race, more techs, jewelry and random events. And maybe even a battle viewer where the ships face the ships they are attacking and shoot from their weapon hardpoints.

"MultiPlayer" is a word, a flag to rally around, a sales bullet, a reviewer's checkbox.

I would much rather have the UFP become playable, like it was in GC1. Where you could buy votes that changed your share of the house, and where the things they voted on affected changes in the game.

Include an editor for a starship jewelry that loads/saves .X files. GC-II Gold, v1.5: Comes with starship editor.

I'de buy that.
