Turning off In Game movies

Is there any option to Turn-Off in game movies.like when you first build a large ship etc.. Game runs perfecrtly but once those movies start its stutter time !!!

Install the game without movies? You'd have to do it through SDC, but it's not that hard.

Or you could just try deleting (or renaming) the movies folder inside the Galciv2 directory.

In-game movies can run better if you lower your antialiasing.

Is that really an option though? Won't your game look crappier ? For me I have choices of 4, 2 and 0. If I want a movie that doesn't stutter I have to pick 0. Still stutters at 2. At zero, or no AA, you're going to lose out on textures and stuff on ships, yes ?

I am one of those guys that is NOT going to run out and buy a new video card every time a particular game does not function 100 percent.. Fist of all the card more than meets the recomendations.. The whole battle between Ati cards (Raedon) and Nvida Cards is getting ridiculous.. One type runs some games better while the other runs the others..
The other problem of course is running games under the resource insane and non-game friendly XP envirement..
I'll try deleting the movies with the exception of "winning game" ones.. Thanks

Odd... you would think there would be an actual game option *Don't Show Movies*. The code has got to be there to not show them cause if you don't download them they aren't there to show. Maybe it should be one of those *quality of life* fixes they make in 1.2.
