M.A.D. Invasion Event

Invasion results in 0 Troops left on both sides

Hi. Beta4B. Not sure how to reproduce, as it depends on combat odds for invasion.

I invaded the Alterian Home world, Alteria, with 500 Drengin troops. (Gas Attack). They had 2000 defenders. My advantage was 4:1. I had 45 soldiering ability and they had 15. i rolled a 20 to 4 on the 'dice'. Both sides went to 0 - and I was told that my recently conquered planets was suffering an 11% reduction to PQ due to the gas. When I clicked Done, I was returned to the map ...and the Alterians still had the World! And with 10 Billion population!!!! I was charged the 200bc.

I wish I could recreate - I can attack it again, but have been unable to get the same dice roll. Unfortunately in my hurry to capture the screen I closed the window by mistake.

Just wanted to point this out...if , it's the first time I've seen it and obviously the conditions have to be just right to get and exact ratio of losses on both sides to come out to 0. But it happened to me....

on Edit - sems this is not a bug. Thanks all for the answer.

It happens ANY TIME each side wipes out eachother. It always defaults to the original owner still being in control of the planet. But always for me the pop is only .10b. But that my be because I use Mini-Soldiers or Traditional warfare 99% of the time. This has happened to me a ton. I just figured it was because my Mini-Soldiers were being removed at the end, and the game saying well .10b of them were mini's and shouldnt count so the owner should get a .10b credit or some such.

*Shrug*

I kinda like the idea of it ending up at 0-0. That could leave the planet open to invasion by anyone. Now wouldn't that be interesting?

This is intentional- not a bug. Was listed in an earlier patch.

Ive gotton that to after a 00 tie the planet defaults to the original owner and clicking on the planet show 10B pop. I found though that double clicking on the planet to bring up the management screen will show the correct pop of .10b

I had something similar happen to me. I invaded a world, won, and was left with only a couple thousand troops. For some peculiar reason unknown to me, the couple thousand was translated into a couple trillion. The population reverted back to whatever the population cap of the planet was after the current turn. That was almost too bad. I enjoyed having infinite influence and revenue.
Every planet on the screen, except mine obviously, had the skull and crossbones symbol.

I've had that couple trillion thing happen to me a few times. Unfortunately, it didn't fix itself. This became a problem, because while there's a lot of money, there's also several trillion very unhappy people, and my approval dropped to 1%. So then half my worlds decide to revolt. While I'm in the middle of a war. Did I mention that civil wars SUCK? I managed to get them back, and take the comp I was fighting, but it was a close call.

Thanks Rogue and Arstal, and everyone else for the explanation.

Missed that in the patch logs. That's why I did not say bug in my post title...if that's how it works, that's ok by me. Just surprised me. Editing my OP to remove the debug stuff.
