Minor Race splitting off

I was playing as the Terrans and right after i capturd Drengi, the drengin home world, i had a rebellion and some of my planets split off and formed their own civilization. The problem is, they took all but my newly settled PQ 4 planet. Anyone ever have something similar happen to them?

Yeah just some random bad event luck.

One of my games it was a 33 PQ. So be thankful it was a 4

Being evil is the best. Now you have a real challenge on your hands. Let us know how it turns out.

I think thats all he has left. His only planet is the new PQ 4.

OK, let's count the tiles...

1 for the colony
1 for the Starport
1 for a factory
1 extra

Can you even fully load a Transport with the PQ4 population cap?

You must have had an economy that could have barely managed to support your fleet - much less funded your production...

Wow, maybe you should keep morale up higher or something. That is kind of halarious though, I am glad you shared

Starports are a waste on pq4. 1 factory 2 research is the way to go.

This is the reason why I always have some full loaded troop transports hanging around my planets. Never know when those unappreciative minions of mine try a rebellion.

I usally make all planets below 6 an economic planet, or research planet

see, the problem is that my moral was at 100%. My people wer breeding like bunnies, so to put it, and i had just expended my economy on a two year long war with the drengin and the korx. I could barely support myself there. And all of a sudden. I just went to the previous save before that event and replayed it. The drengin managed to get some even that helped kick me back out. On the thrid try though, nothing happaned, and now i am happily sitting here, building up invention matricies on my PQ 30 planet, which has 10 (!) +300% research tiles and one +700 manufacturing tile

oh, just to tell you what happened when i played on after the rebellion. Luckily i still had 50000bc so i rushed a starport on the planet, and a factory. Didnt really care about research at the moment, so the last tile was eaten up by another factory. I rushed a few defenders and a troop transport. This left me with .7 billion people on the planet, and i went on to take my homeworld back, which was my manufacturing capital. After using up a few start furies and my own custom attackers on the defences, i had broken through and managed to get my transport in alive. The problem is, my transport had 1000 troops, the planet had 23000. Even with a 32 to 4 advantage i lost the invasion and had to finish my turn. The next turn, the oh so gracious torians come along and take my last planet. There was no way to recover from it.

That stinks.

I was playing one game where the I-Leauge showed up, and since I was a neutral it didn't affect me. But the Yor and someone else (Iconian or Korx) both got hit after they had been driven back to one planet each. Since they only had one, whenit went their civilization went with it, suddeny there were two less people to worry about, and some bizzare conglamerate running about.

Thinking of which (little of topic) that could be neat if two races, both getting beat, could decide to form a new race. I realize it would cause a whole lot of ai and diplomacy issues figuring out combination, but still could be neat (as opposed to simply surrendering).

Dammit! It happened again. At least it left me with a PQ 5 planet this time. Seriously, anybody else having something like this happen to them? Or am I just unlucky?

hehehe, I have only had this event happen to me twice. Once when I was just learning the game, and had crappy morale. I crushed the 'Free Dregin' with two quick invasions. The 2nd time I wanted to trigger this deliberately.

I humbly suggest that if you still have the save file from that revolt, you go for an easier planet. It would make a very intresting scenario game to try to pull a win when your mid game with only a 4 tile planet.

END COMMUNICATION

It is nice that every game you play random events change its flavour. I have played dozens of games and still I hear of events I have not seen yet and had others only once.

I have been waiting for this to happen, personally I think it would rock (though not necessarily if it happened to me).

It does NOT rock. Believe me. I spent hours playing this game(s) only to get screwed over completely in a few minutes.
