Auto movement and End Turn

Where'd my MPs go?

When you have ships on auto move and click "Turn" you lose any extra movement points those ships might have because the next player starts moving their ships.

For instance, I have a ship moving to a location 1.5 days away. I hit Turn, it moves it's full MP. I hit End Turn again and it moves to the location selected, but it still has movement points available. But due to the programming I can't use up that ship's extra MPs because the Yor (or whoever) are now taking their turn.

It seems to me that before the next player start moving their ships, the computer should auto select all of my ships that have movement points left and allow me to move them further or skip them. But maybe there's a reason for it being the way it is?

Two things. There's an option to bring the focus to a ship that completes its automove and still has movement points left over. I don't remember what it's called though.

Second, I seem to remember there being a hotkey that makes all autopilot ships move immediately without ending the turn, but I don't remember what it is since I don't use it.

Thanks. It's called "Skip Moves Left Over From Auto Pilot."

There is also an option to not use left over MP when autopilot objective is reached.

I think that is the issue.

Oops. Didn't read down far enough. (Also didn't answer the question as well either )

The Turn button. Once you hit it all of your ships will execute automoves. It's the last phase of your turn.

Or do you mean a button to make all current automoves during the beginning or middle part of your turn, instead of at the end? Not one that I know about, but there may be a hotkey...never looked as I don't have the need to do that.

Note that this is broken in the current non-beta release. I haven't tried the betas, but there was a post by a stardock employee that stated that it was fixed for 1.1, so its probably working now.

The way it worked in GalCiv1 is that you'd hit turn, all your autopilot ships would start moving, and if any finished and still had moves left it would center on them and wait for you to move them. The turn button would then change to a "skip" button that would continue on and advance to the next ship, leaving the current one doing nothing.

That is exactly what Iam looking for. It seems there is no button to do this Best I can do is to switch option "skip automoves @ end of turn" OFF and press Turn button in the beginning of each turn. <-- Terrible english, Iam sorry
