civ capital

hey guys i dont know about you, but i would like to select the tile space for my civ capital right before i start the game, i find it kind of odd having the capital of earth being in india or africa and not new york, not meaning to offend anyone or anything, but like i said before it would be nice to select the title space for your capital.

I think in a United World where hunger, crime, "borders" and war was eliminated there is no need of a "special" place for a capital, so in this utopia the  capiltal place is irrelevant... honestly i prefer  a capital placed on one of the most beautiful places in the world like a carbbean island, or the tibet mountains just to impress...  stead of a dirty large urban area like New York...       Anyway this is a point that maybe will be corrected on the final 1.1 version.     Sorry about my english

No offence but from a realistic point of view, your capital could be everywhere but in northern America.
It’s a simple fact that, given enough time, civilizations come and go. They come to power, reach their peak and diminish. That’s the way it has always been, and always will be.
In the timeframe depicted in the game the American civilization (one h3ll of a Paradox) will probably be long gone.

But given the fact that most people will want to ignore this maybe it would be a good thing to be able to choose the location of the capital.

I didn't recognize that, but now that you pointed me on the capitals location, I would hate Stardock for moving it to Northern America

Personally, id choose Norway, where Oslo lies, a Fjord, some hif landscapes, woods.. what moore can you want? snow in the winter, hot days at teh beaches in the summer..

I dont want to move the capital. Having it in India or wherever makes no real difference since the map has too litlle detail to specify "my house" as the location. I am in charge of the race after all.

india or china you know they will be probably next super power and i think next big war will be between them too

anyways it would fun to put like finland or sweden to capital of earth or like some even smaller like vatican city
