TORIANS VS. ALTARIANS!!!

The unltimate hard-ass sow down

I've been playing and watching the forums and the Torians and the Altarians are the ones most complained about.

So I've been thinkin, what if the Torians fought against the Alatarians in a huge galaxy wide battle. Let's create the scenario.

The Netro Mancer come to the Torians for an alliance, when suddenly, Tlas Kzientha "accidently" comes on to him. Netro Mancer is violated and outraged that, before Tlas can explain, he declares war on him.

Now they both have VERY different stats. Prepare to see.

Altarians: Torians:
-Good alignment -Good alignment
-Good research skills -Also good research skills
-Insane production in colony rush -Insane production in colony
rush as well
-A hard-ass to evil races -Also a hard-ass to evil races
-Knows where the good planets are -Knows where the good
planets are as well
-Big influence ring -Also a big influence rin
-Can pick up faraway objects with mind -Suposedly smart
-Snazzy blue color -CrAzY out of style hi-light green
-Pain in the "lower area" <--- - Same as to left

Now that we see their DIFFERENT stats, the war is already on.


LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! oh wait a sec... WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN ?!?!!!?!?!?!?!

I agree, the altarians may a pain in the "lower area'' but that population boost can often give an edge

Really? You have proof to refute the MASSIVE amount of evidence that Frogboy has presented on these boards? You're saying that Frogboy is lying when he says that AI's need to scout planets first?

Or are you just making an uninformed, general statement, based upon 1 or 2 games you may have played?

I think he means knows where the planets are in that they both start with stellar cartography technology...

Bloody interest match, I think the Altarians will win the technology and arms race, but the Torians will win with the population and economy.

I think the Altarians would have it in the bag, the Torians reproduce quickly and conolize quickly but in truth they're culturally weak--thier planets always start flipping the moment they're in someone else's influence sphere... And the Altarians with their wicked nasty influence would be selling porn and drugs to the little torian podlings within days of them going at it...

In a huge abundant galaxy, the torians will own, there's no doubt about it. Unless I was there to kill them first. Heck, they might get 75% influence just through the colonization phase if there were just the two of them.

Actually I'm right about them knowing where all the planets are.

P.S.: How do you use stellar cartogrophy? All the dots look the same.
