Manufacturing capital leader in reaserch!?

In my last game I had a class 11 planet as my manufacturing capital, and a class 15 as a technological capital. When they were both fully developed, my manufacturing capital produced more research then the tech one! After fully developing a planet and moving the social slider to 0 and concentrating the planetary production to reaserch, I had more reaserch units on the class 11 then on the class 15 science capital. So, does this mean that the best thing would be to put the tech capital on the same world as manufacturing, I have done that in my current game?

Err, no. Tech should outproduce manufacturing if the amount of research is high enough.

Actually I have the same thing. When you focus on research, my manufacturing capital outpaces my research capital in research. The manufacturing capital has a 700% resource tile. But obviously since i need to focus on research to get it, I'm losing all that manufacturing.

Actually I have the same thing. When you focus on research, my manufacturing capital outpaces my research capital in research. The manufacturing capital has a 700% resource tile. But obviously since i need to focus on research to get it, I'm losing all that manufacturing.

i dont believe you get that 700% bonus for building the capitol on it, it has to be a factory or any other class of factory.

remeber your first planet colony square produces alot of extra stuff. Capitols mainly focus on % so make sure you have alot of labs on your tech capitol, i have never had this problem.

Sorry, I wasn't specific. The Planet on which my manufacturing capital is built has a 700% resource. That specific tile has a factory. But the planet can still outproduce the planet where my tech capital is when I focus on tech. I think the question is if I'm only concerned about generating research, is my best option my tech and manufacturing capitals on the same planet.
