Resetting To Default

Alright- I'm new. I just got the game. I've been toying with the demo for a good while. When playing the demo, I've routinely changed the Terran abilities and colors- just to play with 'em, see how they affect the game.

Well now that I can make a custom race, I'd like to restore the Terrans settings back to the way they were. I figure I could probably do this by just uninstalling everything... but I have a few ship designs that I'm rather proud of that I'd really rather not lose. So is there a way to restore the Terran ability and color settings without a complete uninstall and reinstall?

Delete the .raceconfig files in My Documents/My Games/Galciv2.

I think that won't affect anything else, and it'll still run fine, just as if you hadn't customized the Terrans in the first place.

How do you reset the other settings? Those involving abundance of plants, stars , annomiles etc? I want to play the settings as intended to give the AI the best chance.

I'd imagine everything would be 'Normal' with the exception of how scattered the stars are- and that, I dunno.

Delete the file 'prefs.ini' and the raceconfig files and that should reset them for you
