[BETA REPORT] A few 'bugs' I've run into to...

I have been playing quite a bit lately and have so far enjoyed the game. The latest enhancements in the 1.10 beta pathces are some nice additions.

(these might not all be bugs but I'm listing them all here anyway)

Here are the gotchas:

1) When I build the Eyes of the Universe starbases do not expand there sensor range until I click on the starbase on the main map or a ship visits them to upgrade.

2) When a ship encounters an anomoly that teleports them to another area of the map the fog of war in there original location stays visible permanently.

3) After choosing to go with a Neutral alignment I researched Neutrality Learning Center. When it completed it said I could build the Neutrality Learning Center but I could not find anything either in the research topic or the production queues that indicated the enhancement exists.

4) The Planatary Invasion research seems to be WAY to expensive which causes it not to be a viable research until much later than it should. The fact that the sub research items under Planetary Invasion tree are extremely cheap also makes the expense of the first item seem out of whack. This particular item gets annoying when you run across races that start with this research already learned.

5) Espionage seems to be very one sided. You can spend to increase your knowledge of another race very cheaply and then stop the spending and still steal tech from them. There are no countermeasures to prevent another race from doing this (unless I'm being dense and am missing a setting somewhere).

Enjoy

1) Been there since day one. Probably on the fix list but just not a priority.

2) This is fixed in the latest beta build.

3) This is fixed in the latest beta build.

4) Hard to say but I'm guessing this is by design to help stem some of the rush tactics.

5) Espionage is one of the things they are going to expand in an upcoming expansion pack. So we'll just have to wait to see what all that entails. But you are correct right now this is again working as intended.

Dude, no one starts off with Planetary Invasion, you can't even get start with space weapons on a custom race...

It's expensive to prevent rushing. Actually, it isn't that expensive, you can still catch enemy races with their pants down if you focus on a fast invasion.

Just some bugs with my german Version (Beta works almost fine btw):

1. When trying to build something on a planet, the estimated Time is all the Time "NEVER" (german: Nie), but its possible to build that building wihtin a few weeks.

2. When building ships, there is no way to stop building them. Even if you click "none", the last produced ship will produced over and over again. Atm there is no way to stop building ships except scrapping that Dockyard.

3. You can't choose new abilities for your custom race, because you've to spend something about 10 million points for each special ability.

4. Sometimes, the game crashes when upgrading / adding a custom ship.

5. Everytime you're modifying an existing ship, all equipment will be removed. I think, there should be at least some checkbox to chose: Remove / Not remove equipment.

6. Sometimes, that game becomes incredible slow. And the sound stutters really bad.

7. Some of the texts are still in english. For example: a Planet of "Class 10" instead of "Klasse 10".

8. Some Button-Texts are missing. Check Fleet-Menu.

9. Its still way too easy to conquer enemy planets with just Influence-Bases.

10. More options for diplomacy: I really miss that "I declare war on you"-button.

11. Minor races should be more than just tech-helpers. They should try to build up their own small defending fleet (not only orbit), colonizate planets / build Starbases in their own System (Star + Planets = System). I really want to see more active minor races, their presence should be a real impact to your global strategy.
I'd like to see real treaties with those guys, up to building up some kind of "Federation".

Captain Data:
1,2,3,5,8 works fine for me. You can change 5 in the options.
Which beta-version are you running? Doesn't sound like the latest version (beta-4) to me.
9,10,11 ain't what I would call bugs.

7 should be directed to Paradox. Stardock isn't doing the translations.
