Beta 4 Arcean AI stuck in loop

Freighters and Constructors, oh my!

The Arceans are incapable of recognizing when they have enough freighters and constructors. They have 20 constructors constantly moving back and forth between two starbases and another 18 freighters they keep cycling betwen the Terrans, my designed race and back home. If you need the save game, let me know.

1 other minor glitch found: Constant through all of my starports, when a planet selected and the "build ship" button used, if I select "none" the quick build screen blanks as it should, but the main screen display still shows the last ship type built as under construction....and it will build it. If I hit the ship builder button for the planetary full-flegged ship builder menu and select none, then the main screen display will revert to idle. Edit: The starport glitch disappeared right after I completed a military conquest of a system. Influential conquest did not clear the glitch.

Forgot to mention... you can see a string of both Arcean and Terran scouts in the screen capture. Both races sent the scouts early in the game and never moved them. That's 4-5 scouts each sitting idle during a point in the game it is difficult to afford having 4-5 ships doing nothing. Don't know if that's a glitch or just the AI's going overkill on keeping tabs on me. Note: their scouts only have 5 range sensors. They are barely in range to even see when a ship leaves orbit and are oblivious to my 11 movement advanced troop ships off to the side. If they insist on parking a handful of scouts on my doorstep, at least have them close enough to actually see something.

I can confirm this bug. Arceans loved freighters a little *too* much in my game, resulting in an extremely weak navy otherwise (also contributing to their extinction).

And i have the same problem with setting the 'Build Ship' to None in the Quick Build screen, as well.
And is is always after a battle, like you say.
