How do I put the game on a CD to transfer to my laptop?

Perhaps a dumb question but I don't see clearly how to place the game onto a CD for easy transfer onto my laptop. I purchased it originally as "download only" from the website. Do I need to reset up stardock central and go thru the whole downloading process again? Or is there an easy way to transfer files to a CD and reinstall on the laptop?

Choose File - Archive Application from Stardock Central to back up the game. Transfer to a CDs or a DVD. Install Stardock Central on your laptop and use File - Restore Archive to restore the game.

This may seem like a dumb question as well, but why couldn't you just go to My Computer, and copy and paste the files into a CD or DVD?

if you have a cd-burner it should have came with software.

You can't simply copy the GalCiv2 program files because it won't include the proper registry keys. I assume if you archive and restore using Stardock Central's commands, it will properly install the program with said registry entries.

A little bit of computer knowledge goes a long way towards trouble-free gaming.

I've transferred GC2 to 2 separate computers. However, in both cases, I used my iPod, not a disc. The archived version of the full GC2 (with multimedia and movies) is 1GB, which is too big for a CD. You could use a DVD, of course (assuming your burner supports them).
