What race is best for influence victory?

I finally won a game with a tech win.....geeez that took a long time.

Now I want to go for a full out influence win. What race is best suited for that type of win?

Make your own.

Custom, naturally, since you can design them from the ground up for Cultural Victory. Otherwise, if we have to choose base ones, Torians.

I have only played as humans so far. Can’t say I find Cultural Victory to be very hard as it is. In fact, I have disabled it in newer games so I’ll have time to properly crush those xenophobic, evil aliens

Key is to use starbases and just keep pushing.

At the bottom of the screen there is a button that opens a statistic screen amply named “Civilization Manager”.
Perhaps this is what you are looking for.
If not you could try another of the buttons to open the victory condition screen.
I’m a bit unsure of what You men, but I’ll hope that helps.

I've been looking for that too, and still have not found it. It was a neat feature in GC1, GC2 has different neat featiures.

i would like to see how much influence is being pushed onto a planet. i can see how much the planet is making and then guess vs how much another nearby planet is making but i would like to see th numbers..

Influence is a bit of a hidden number. You can see how much a planet is producing along with how much over that you are influencing it if you have a high enough espionage level. Beyond that to see how much of the galaxy you've taken over influence wise check the Victory tab in the Civ Manager screen.

As for which race I'd play a custom race. Max out your diplomacy and morale bonuses. Almost a cake walk from there. A huge galaxy on Challeging my last metaverse win was something like 6 years for cultural. One of these days I need to turn off cultural and diplo wins and actually go for conquest.

I'm not sure if it really matters. I've targeted cultural conquest as my intended method it's never played out as my main advantage.

I've always used my military to enforce my ability to push influence. Those bases are expensive & it can take years to flip a planet that is happy and loyal.

To see influence on a planet you need to do some spying on the race that owns it.

Yup custom race is the ticket! GO SQUIRELS GOOOOO!!!!!!

Ahem... My race includes a 30% economy bonus and a 30% influence bonus. I also use the pacifists for a party as they have another 20% influence. Then I grab up all the influence wonders as I go. and any resources I see. I will often buy them if I can't get to them first. I will often flip planets with out even building a starbase.

As for seeing how much influence is being pressed on a certin planet you must first do espoinage on that race. When you hit LOW level you can click on the planet you are intrested in and you will see the amount of influnce that it is producing and then in parentheses beside it you will see the amount of pressure it is feeling from other cultures. When that number reaches 4 or higher it will start rolling each turn to see if it flips.

As for actually making them flip influence is a combination of military might, population and resources. So build (or at least appear to build, GG spin control center) a military, get lots of people and make sure and snag those influence resounces.

Also when trying to flip planets start with the lower class planets on the outskirts of a cluster. If you try and start taking a 5 planet cluster where 4 of them are PQ 10+ then you are going to need 5 or more stations. Start at the outskirts and it will be much easier. As they flip they will help you with the next planet and they will domino.
