Problem with Galciv3 Options

Hello,
My resolution is stuck at 1028/720px.
With all the other games, if I want increased performance, I turn down resolution and it runs great.
However, I can't do that here for some reason, it's locked at that resolution and won't let me change it.
Is there any way to force it, it lags pretty bad.

Thanks guys.

I beleive that is the minimum the game will run at. Post the debug.err log from your main game folder and let us see if we can see anything else.

The game tries to keep you from playing at too lwo of a rez because (i believe) the UI gets screwy at low resolutions.

And is there any way to upgrade all your ships of certain type to another type!!!???
It's so dumb trying to find every single ship, telling them to go to an empty square and upgrading it.

Not sure if there was an option originally, but I did see an option yesterday that allows you to change all ships of one type to another type (same hull class of course). The thing is, I don't remember where in the UI I saw it... but it is there!

Unfortunately, I don't think you will get to use that feature much unless you have WAY DEEP pockets, as upgrading more than 3 ships at once will be a big blow to your cashflow, unless we're talking tiny ships.

If you select a ship and choose upgrade there's a small check box (just above the list of ships you can upgrade to) that allows you to upgrade all ships of the same type.

I'm assuming you mean 1024x768, which is the "standard" minimum resolution for Windows now. You can get XP 1 notch lower to 800x600 but it's extremely difficult to work with. Having played GC2 at various resolutions from 1024x768 all the way to 2048x1536, I can't see how it would be even possible to play at any lower res than 1024x768.

Honestly, if you have a computer that can even play GC2, get a video card and monitor that can do at least 1280x1024 even if you don't play at that high res, because it won't be too much longer until even 1024x768 is difficult to play current games on. Get them used if you have to, but get them.

You can just change the resolution in the .ini file found in my documents/my games/galciv2 or something.
It will keep reseting it, though; I've made my ini file there read only so it doesnt.
