Any way to speed up Stardock Central?

It's using less than 25% of my bandwidth

I've been hanging off downloading the Beta until I'd worked through the campaign.
Now I have and I start upgrading and its not exactly nippy.
I've got a 2Mb broadband connection and its crawling along.
Is there a setting somewhere that tells it to use all it can get?

A lot of broadbands work of LAN connections, and there is occasionally a bandwith limit for your street/neighbourhood. I know mine is terrible around the time that everyone gets home from work, but if I stay awake to 3AM then I can download at 1 meg PER SECOND.

I'm not suggesting sleep depreivation here, just seeing if that's a reason. It's your comp that's slowing you down, SDC is quite fast for me

I don't usually get contention issues where I am.
It was also quite consistent at aorund the 25% mark, which made me think that there might be some "don't use all my bandwidth" option hidden away somewhere.
It seemed to be doing it file at a time rather than in one compressed archive, so that might have slowed it down, or maybe there was a blockage somewhere between Stardock & me.
I'll see what happens when 1.1 pops out.
It's no biggy - just me being impatient to play with my toys

I seem to have problems with stardock central download speeds as well. Sometimes my full bandwidth is used and most of the time it isn't. I have a 15 megabit fiber optic connection that isn't shared. I can usually get 1.2 + megabytes per second.

I have noticed that sometimes with stardock central you just have to keep retrying at different times of the day for a few days until you can download at your maximum capacity. It's also possible that there is a bottleneck somewhere along your connection route to stardocks servers.

It is possible to get your full download speed, but it takes patients. Steam does the same thing sometimes. Just have to retry at a different times. ( the other possibility is that there is something wrong with stardocks bandwidth and one of their people just need to get the situation fixed).

Grrr. I bought the complete pack, the $55 option which included DA expansion, and the prelease beta for the TA expansion, and I have to wait 14hours, if it keeps at it's current pace, just to finish installing GC2 on its own, bah! When I buy a game I want to be able to play it sraight away, or as close to that as possible, but I have played it before so I know the wait will be worth it, sorry, just ranting, ignore me :P

if u want it right away bye it at a store, I recently wiped my HD and reinstalled DL, DA, and TA beta from stardock central in less than 2 hours.
