Planet Quality Racial Ability Bug

I know this is fairly widely known, but I wanted to make sure that it was properly logged so that it could be fixed. I did a search, and I didn't find the bug on this forum, so I wanted to make sure it was known.

Basically, the PQ increase racial ability is not terribly useful, and is probably broken. All it does is increase a planet's PQ rating; it doesn't create new tiles for use by the player.

The PQ rating is useful towards morale, but that bonus is not nearly enough to be worth 8 racial creation points. 8 points would be more inline for an ability that turns a planet with 4 tiles into one with 5, and turns a planet with 15 tiles into one with 18. That's a pretty substantial advantage, well worth 8 points. Getting a morale bonus on a class 9 or above planet instead of a class 11 or above isn't really worth it.

Either the PQ ability should be adjusted to cost fewer points or it should actually provide tiles.

I agree. I use this bonus and have been disappointed with the results.

opened a post about that myself (with some additional cost suggestions) and then found 2 other posts with the same issue well, at least it is very well known now and hopefully will be fixed in 1.1
i loved to have the PQ ability in galciv1, i want it to be useful again in gc2
personally i like to be more flexible with a bonus tile in game then having preset advantages i cant change later

Its still broken for me with the beta 4 patch. With the +20% pq bonus, my class 12 capital lists the PQ number as "12" but only 10 slots are available (including capital slot). When I research xeno ethics and do neutrality, it changes to size 21 but only 18 slots are available (including capital slot). Same goes for my other planets.

chosing the 20% PQ ability it will be a level 12 planet with 12 slots
but that does not apply to all the other planets, if i colonize a level 10 planet it becomes lvl 12 but those two extra tiles are not there
they only appear on the main planet, never on colonies
