cannot install/cannot read from

my friend has dreaqd lords (but not the internet) he cannot get it to work at all, it won't even install. it just says; cannot write or read from source file or disk and then gives it's little address that it can't read from.

i know virtually nothing aboutcomputer games and less about bugs, i am downloading the V1.1 patch for him, will that work?

Not a chance, need the game acutally installed, a patch is something to fix a problem with the gameplay. We'll need some system specs, what he did, etc.
