Beta3 Invasion Bug?

Anyone run into the same problem I had recently in a metaverse game? Here's what I submitted to gc2bugs@stardock and I want to know if anyone else had this problem and was able to resolve it. I don't want to have to start the game over. 
"I have a fleet stationed off of the last Altarian planet. As I try to attack, my senate will declare war, but nothing happens. When I select the fleet next to the planet to attack, it looks like something is about to happen but nothing does. I don't have any ships stationed near any other worlds to see if this is the general case with all worlds, or just this planet or just the Altarians.
Now, this wasn't an issue earlier in the game. I was able to invade several Altarian planets, but then made peace. Now I have a fleet stationed next to their last world later in the game, but nothing happens."
