Peace Treaties

Suggestion

I think a new rule should be added to Pease Treaties. I think that a Pease Treaty should be for a period of 10 years. If one side or the other breaks a Peace Treaty they lose 1,000 Influence Point to the other side for every year left in the 10-year deal. So, if you make peace with someone and break it the next turn they receive 10,000 IPs and you lose 10,000 Ips. If you break it 5 turns later, its 5,000 Ips and so on.

The AI would never break any treaties then unless re-coded. That would probably open up other issues. Not a bad thought, but probably not so easily balanced.

That and a turn is 1 week, not one year... so really there's 12 turns in a year......

10 years?!
I never had a game passed 9 years... (normally 6-7 years on a gigantic map)

do you mean 10 weeks(turns)?
10 turns feel kind of short... perhaps 26.

Only if you're one of those people still using the Julian calendar. Some of us have broken free. It's the year 8693 where I am. It's better this way --- more frequent birthdays. I'm close to celebrating my 164th.

i prefer to display my age in hexadecimal... it let me claim to be "just an irresponsible teenager" for quite some time.

I like the Jupiter calendar a lot. What am I, 3 years old now?
