question about resources

hey, guys, i've been playin the game for awhile, and i have a question about the resources, if the mining starbase is out of range from all the planets, will the planets still receive the bonuses from the mining station? thx

The starbase's area of effect is irrelevant with mining bases. Even if the resource is on the opposite side of the galaxy, you will still receive the benefits of mining it. The effect is global, after all, affecting your entire empire.

A bit ot, but does that also apply for the "Increased Birthrate" event? and the "Xenophiles" event?Are those also empire specific or are they universal to all empires?

I cannot convince myself which is more confusing:
1) show the influence circle for mining starbases (prompting these sorts of questions), or
2) to not show it (prompting an entirely different set of questions of "why is there no circle").

I find it sort of silly, since it has no meaning for mining starbases (by my understanding), but I can easily ignore it.

Good point Hykin.

Perhaps in future releases they can eliminate the circle for Mining starbases only. That would probably be less confusing overall.
