Which Starbase is being upgraded?

Is there any easy way to tell which Starbase is being upgraded once a Constructor reaches it? Often times I have a few Constructors in play, or, I've been busying myself with something else. So when the dialog pops up asking me if I want the Starbase upgraded, I don't know which one it's talking about. And it doesn't give me stats on that screen, or location, to remind me which one it is.

Thanks,

try Rename your starbase to your personal system. so when the upgrade dialog pops up you know which base it is for.

Does it actually give the name of the Starbase that's about to be upgraded? I don't remember that, but it could be my oversight.

I usually click 'no' and then just decide later when i'm cycling through ships that have turns left.

don't think it does, but it does while you are picking the upgrade, and I think you can cancle out of it if you find you don't want to do an upgrade.  If I remember correctly GCI would at least move the map to the starbase along with the mini-map so that you could figure out which starbase was being talked about, though it may have waited untill after you said yes, but then you could cancle so it was all good.

Yep, this is what I do too, although it is a little cumbersome. Galciv2 isn't the best at providing geographical information when decisions need making, and the addition of a few minimaps (with appropriate objects highlighted)to various screens would make all the difference. Not just for when upgrading starbases, but for trading ships in diplomacy, and when cycling through planet screens too.

yeah... I play with "do you want to upgrade" dialog turned off (its in the option page) to save few clicks (well, many acturally). So I totally forgot about it... anyhow the name of your starbase is shown when picking upgrades, just click "Cancel" if you don't want to upgrade it.

Yes, in the latest beta. Not in any earlier versions.

Ah, so the name is in the beta (I'm not running the beta). I guess I will try clicking "no" for upgrade so I get a chance to fish on the map and figure out where it is. I guess I, like many others have implied here, would like it if the game would move my view to where the starbase is if I say "yes".

I've played GalCiv1 a bit, but not a lot, so will have to go back to it and see if the behavior is different (as one of you guys said).

Thanks to all for the comments, and def. keep 'em coming if there's more to be said,

It will center the map on the starbase, but the pop-up asking whether you want to fix it appears over the starbase, so you often can't tell what it is anyway. LOL

yes i click no as well, but you do lose that turn, cause the base ship is on auto-move and you wont be able to manualy click on it till the puter does all its moves and its your turn again. In the rare case that its gonna be attacked or your trying to counter influence from a niegbor and time is criticle the click no option can screw ya. Often times i can click yes, and if its a resource it will tell you what type of resource its mining for, and you can pretty much tell what it has on it by any of the plusses to attack/def/ etc it has on it already.
