Frequent Crashing-- how do i get to degug.err???

i have all the latest drivers for my system yet this game still crashes frequently on me, and often at one particualr point in the game. For example, today every time i sent my scout to a certain region of the map, the game crashed. I had to purposely not explore a certain star system in order to continue with my game. now i am encountering the same problem with researching armor theory. i would like to get help with this, as i am a huge fan of this game, so i need to know how to access this debug error report. in order to make a more informed post.... please help!

The debug.err file is in your GalCiv2 directory.

why do companys release games when they are not fineshed ....

it was beta tested properly. It was finished. And it doesn't crash for everyone (it does for me, but not for everyone)

Could you then post your debug.err associated with crash? Without any help, the dev won't be able to understand what makes the game crash on your specific configuration and won't be able to fix it.

BTW, how do you define "beta tested properly"? There was an open beta that did spot and correct lots of crashes. But how can you fix remaining crashes if you no longer have any crash on the computers used in the beta?
