- is it how metaverse is supposed to work?

First of all, I want to say that I have nothing against this galactic achievement, I am actually somewhat grateful that it dispays so clearly problems of scoring system. I wouldn't even call it an exploit, because exploit would create less absurd score, I'd call it a demo.

On the other hand, it is hard not see that a possibility of this gamestyle practically destroys metaverse as a competition, so I hope Stardock will make some adjustments to the scoring - like may be a limit on time period when points are acumulated. Personally I'd start to subtract points after, 15 years at most on gigantic. Personally after 10 years I feel I am exploiting the game, not playing it

It takes me 3 days to play 15 years, playing 4 hours a day, how long it took you to play 200 years?

Hmm.. a week, no more than 2. But I have more of the required resources than most... IE ; lots of time, a 4 year old willing to push end turn for hours on end, etc etc.

On a brighter note, in another topic, frogboy says something along the line of "the problem will be fixed".. YAY

I think the 10 or 15 year suggestion might be a little steep. One could do a military conquest in that timeframe, but going for a tech win would probably be impossible... I'll say "almost" impossible just to be safe. But I think the time limit idea of beginning to deduct points s at a certain time has merit.

Tech victory on gigantic map, crippling difficulty, in 6 years. I do hope recount will give more points for that

Wow.. see? I knew I had better insert the word "almost" when I said that.

I agree... you deserve more points than you probably got for that. I still cannot imaagine how you did it, even wth all the research race abilities at work. I have been using a customized race with heavy research abilities, but they don't begin to match your alien geniuses at work.

Colonial Fleet too, but not my game , otherwise I agree that it is an amazing achievement. Apparently in new system the player will receive higher score for time and difficulty, but still not too high because I doubt he could do this and also conquer and develop enough of planets.
