A few questions...

I've been playing for a little while, and I have a few questions that I didn't see covered in the manual...

1. Do you steal techs faster if you keep funding after advanced level espionage?

2. Do effects from moral choices effect your whole race, or just the planet they are occuring on?

3. How do you set rally points?

4. How do you get espionage for the minor races?

5. What does the tech Starbase Conqest Strategy mean when it says that it 'enables starbases to be the flagship of your fleets'? Can you actually add starbases to your fleets? Can your ships in the same parsec fight with the starbase?

6. Darn! There were more, but now I forgot them! I'll edit them in later.

I can't edit the post above, but here is another question:

6. What does the tech Starbase Conquest Strategy mean when it says that it 'enables starbases to be the flagship of your fleets'? Can you actually add them to your fleets? Can your ships in the same parsec fight with with the starbase in a battle?

1. I'm pretty sure the answer is no. It says in-game that all further espionage is meaningless.

2. Depends. If it's a colonisation event, it's planet-only. You can see the bonus or penalty if you go into planet details. There are also moral choices that happens randomly that effects the whole race, these are shown in stats-abilities.

3. There is a button in the lower left, just above where it says what technology you are researching. You can also press 'P' and then where you want it.

4. You can't.

5-6. Nothing. No. Kinda, you can add modules to the starbase that adds to the offense or defense of ships in it's radius but this isn't the first technology that let's you do that.

1. I dont have an answer, just an additional related question. Is there ANY benefit in continued funding after reaching advanced level espionage?

Nope. It's a waste of about 800 bc a turn

No, after you get to advanced on a race you automatically spend 0bc per week, no choice.

Another question: When you trade a unique trade good, do you keep the effects? Can you trade it to multiple civs at once? Can you stop trading it later? Do trade embargos effect them?

Does anyone know what forum this is even in? I can't see it anymore.

Re post #7

Yes you keep the effects. Yes you can trade it to multile Civs. No, you can't stop trading it later - you actually gave them the formula, or plans, or whatever so they can build it themselves. (But they don't actually have to build it like you did.) No, trade embargoes don't affect them - it's a one shot trade, just like giving them a tech or a ship.
