Multiple Uploading Exploit?

Is it an exploit to upload the same Game over and over again?

Lets say you have a 800,000 point game. You finish the game and Report the score on Metaverse. You decide to reload the same game before winning the game, and play it for a few more years. You then post a 1,000,000 point game 2 days later. Only its basically the same game but alittle higher score now. Then you decide that wasn't good enough and a couple days later you post another 1,000,000+ game in a few days. Only they are all the same game, just won at different intervals.

Exploit or not?

I'd say exploit. Does this work? I haven't played any metaverse games, so I don't know how loading saves works. In Civ4, the saves somehow know if you reload an earlier save. Civfanatics uses it to check and make sure games submited to thier ranking system are not cheated in any way. GalCiv2 may have something similar for metaverse.

It scans for cheat codes, and flags if your points are at a minus score, so I'm fairly sure they should scan games. If not, see how many people's scores skyrocket

this doesn't work. Just tried it. You can only upload each game once

In GC1 every game had a seed code and this only allowed each game to be loaded to the metaverse 2 or three times and it over wrote the earlier score

I expect that have implemented something similar this time around as well..

It would be if you could do it . I think they have the game logged with metaverse so that it only allows one victory but I might be wrong.

It may work if you savescum the original file before you post it, But if the Galciv 2 team are half as smart as I think they are, The best option for them would be to issue each game an identifier code, So say you save scum game "1829" it will log that game as being done, So when you resend "1829" it wont accept it.
