Ship upgrade broken in 1.1 beta?

I upgraded to the newest 1.1 beta a couple of days ago and noticed that when I upgrade my ships it makes me start over - it's not showing me what my current ship has on it and allowing me to remove just the item I want to upgrade. Instead I have to load each module from scratch... Is this right? Was the "old way" dropped?

In v1.1 Beta 2 there is an option in the Options screen, on the Interface tab that says "Remove Functional Components When Upgrading a Design" If you uncheck this (it is ON by default), it will not remove the components from the ship when you upgrade it.

If you have the latest beta, you can actually chance this to the way you want it in options.

This behavior appeared in beta 1, not 1.0X, but in beta 2, it is an option, quote from change log:

+ Added "Remove Functional Components When Upgrading a Ship Design" option to the option screen. This is ON by default. Turning it off will leave the functional parts on a ship when you upgrade it. You will have to remove parts manually.

Huh, I could have sworn my 1.0x didn't behave that way... o0... talk about wierd, then again this isn't the first time lack of sleep killed my memory (I blame Stardock!). Oh wells, doesn't really matter anyways, just waiting for beta3 with mod support...

Ok, thought i had the latest beta. Ive been playing a game for bout the last 5 days so i havent checked for updates. but i cant seem to find that option in the options screen? ill check for updates again?

cool. i could have used that feature last night, when i was doing an "engines only" upgrade of my designs!
