Help! Cannot Group my ships

Some ships will not join fleet

For some reason, maybe stated elsewhere in the forum, I cannot group some ships into fleets. I have a high enough logistics to hold the ships, but when I highlight em and click on the fleet button, nothing happens. On a few occasions, after doing as stated, a rally point pops up where the ships are, and is shown as a blank square with a little zero in the upper corner when I click on it. Looking at it from the map, it is titled as a rally point. Kinda agrivating when I have to scrap ships, or send em on suicide runs just because I cannot put em into a fleet

Try saving and reloading.


Yeah, it’s really annoying but reloading the game has always helped for me as well.

Reloading the game is what caused the problem for me. It has never happened to me during a fresh game start.

This seems to happen for a number of people, myself included.
It does seem to be certain ships, regardless of your logistics level, can't ever be grouped into a fleet. Nobody seems to be able to resolve it and I would hope, as I reported it in the bugs section (but got no reply, posts entitled "Occasional fleet formation problem") that someone from Stardock is aware of this and would be able to resolve it.

I would hope that Stardock might respond to your post, alas I would probably never find it as the 'watch post' feature is borked, like a lot of the forums functions
