Anomalies disappear when surveyed

Anyone else have this?

I just got the game and the first thing I've noticed playing the campaign is that anomalies disappear as soon as I scout them. It has happened during the first campaign mission, and during regular single-player games using my flagship. There are no crashes or anything, but as soon as I survey an anomaly it vanishes from the main screen and the minimap. I've even tried attaching survey modules to constructor ships. I've looked through the forums and can't seem to find anyone else with the same trouble.

When you have taken an anomaly it's normaly that it dissapears.

They are suppose to disappear. Anomalies are to be "surveyed", and only offer their benefits once. What you're probably looking for is a "Resource", which you use Constructors to build Mining Starbases on. These two are very different things.

Yes, and though it's a bit strange, Wormhole Anomalies also collapse as soon as you go through them.

It'd be cool if wormholes popped up and stuck around for indeterminate amount of time, or even have a tech that could produce them..

Like the stargates mentioned pre-hyperdrive. That'd add a very interesting game dynamic; instanct invasions, but only if you could break a blockade.........

I remember when I bought GalCiv 1 way back when, I had the same problem. It took me a game or two before I figured out the resources/anomolies. (I'm pretty sure that the AI handed my butt back to me before I could figure it out back then, but they did give me the strategy that I used very succesfully until this game - where I don't really use it anymore for some reason.)

yeah, wormholes would be really awesome. Especially for like large maps or higher.
