A feature or things in my gc2 are messed up?

I have 3 questions that i noticed playing with 1.1 beta 2a about starbases
-I have seen an enemy influence starbase moving; i believed that starbases were fixed. So can starbases move or not??
-After destroying starbases resources are not shown.Bug or feature?
-I have seen starbases in space tiles that there wasn't nothing before so i assume that they were moved in this space tile

So are starbases mobile and is it normal that i don't see resources after i destroy a starbase?I believed that starbases couldn't move and assumed that after destroying a starbase resources appear after. So are all of these bugs and my game is messed up or are feature?
my specs:
athlon 3500+
ati radeon x800 xt
asus a8v deluxe
audigy ls
1 gb ram

well as for moving starbases.... i dont think so. what ur talking about when they appear is u can build a starbase anywhere. not just on a resource. as for the disappearing resource... sounds like a bug to me.

Starbase moving:

What really happened is that the starbase was created, not on a resource. It did not move.

Resource destroyed:

What really happened is that a starbase was created, not on a resource. When it was destroyed, there was still no resource there, just as before.

The confusion stems over there being two types of influence starbases, those built on a resource, and those built in empty space.

Ive seen the comp move a military base before. Ive also seen the comp build a resource base right beside one of my planets where no resource was before, this was on the 1st beta/

Just move a single constructor to an empty space and select construct from the interface at the bottom of the screen.

you can't move starbases. PERIOD. unless someone mods them or something.

Each Starbase has an area around it that it affects. Once you build the base, you have 3 choices, Military, Economy, and Influence. The Starbase affects its area depending on what type of base you pick. The next thing you want to do is dock Constructors with the base to add modules to improve it. The more modules you add, the more powerful your Starbase becomes.

You can't move the Starbase, but you can destroy it and build another in a new place. I've seen the AI do that. I've even taken out an enemy mining base, only to have the enemy rebuild it before I could get Constructors to the spot in the very next turn. Maybe it's cheating? Maybe it had really fast Constructors lurking just outside my sensor range? Who knows.

Another question. If i can build starbases everywhere i want, space resources doesn't matter so much.So there is any difference in building a starbase on a resource instead of building it in an empty space?

So there is any difference in building a starbase on a resource instead of building it in an empty space?

There is a very important difference: ressources starbase increase your empire level ability, while others starbases have an effect limited to their coverage area.

More they don't do the same thing:
- ressources starbase increase your empire abilities associated with the ressources. This has an effect on all your planets
- military starbase help to boost the ships in their effect area
- influence startbase boost your influence in the effect area (even if you haven't any planets)
- eco starbase help to boost production/researchg of planets in their area, as well as the trade from the freighters that are in the effect area

Thank you Peace Phoenix you are always a resource of useful informations .
One last question about resource starbases coverage area. If resource starbases are associated to empire abilities what effect is added in their coverage area?
Also if i have for example 2 research resource starbases developed with both at 10% mining resource, my empire research ability will have a bonus of 20% or 10% in other words are resource starbases effects cumulative if i have more than one resource starbase of the same type?

I don't think there is an effect in the coverage area for ressource starbase. The best way to check it is to look at the planetary details for the planet in the starbase coverage area and see if they get more bonus from starbase, since you can know what bonus a planet get from stabase

This answer is an easy one: ressources starbases increases your abilities like tech. So they are cumulative. But you can always check that: the best way would be to note abilities before and after scratching a ressource starbase
