I can't attack the enemy!

I have been trying to attack some Drengin fighters in the first game of the campaign, but my ships won't do it! I try to move onto their fighters, which are in my ally's space, and the game completely ignores the command. I tried moving around first, saving/loading, restarting the game, and using the numpad keys instead of the mouse. This started after the ship survived the rest of its fleet being destroyed (I lost my entire fleet in the fight). I then ignored it and went into their space to fight another ship, which I could not attack either! I then ended my turn next to him, and he attack me. During the battle (perhaps he had a military base nearby?) my 3 ships only got off 1 shot (total, between all ships) before being destroyed, even though it was not that short of a battle. Has anyone else gotten this bug?

I have a save game of the issue if there is a need to see it. My game version is 1.0X.2

The ship that survived the rest of its fleet being destroyed must be bugged. You might try removing that ship from the fleet and trying without it.

If it lasts past a save/restore, they might want to see the save game to see exactly how the ship was bugged, but I'm not sure.

The ship that survived is the enemy's ship. My fleet was totally destroyed. The fleet I am attacking with has 3 identical ships, none of which have been in a battle yet. They could not attack any enemy's ships, though they couldl attack me.

Does anyone else have the same game version as me? Perhaps that is due to some corrupt files, and the source of the problem.

Have you tried attacking with ship that actually have weapons on them?

If your ships do have weapons, and cannot attack, I would like to see that saved game. Please e-mail it to [email protected] Put ATTN: CodeCritter in the subject .

Please attach your debug.err file too since that will tell me what your system specs are.

Also, if you have a save from before your fleet was attacked that would also be helpful.
