Will "Neutral" Benefits Be Enabled in v1.1 or Have to Wait Until v1.2?

Will the "Neutral" specific benefits, such as Neutrality Learning Centers and the additional "Neutral" specific defenses/weapons, be enabled in the full version 1.1, or will they have to wait until version 1.2? (BTW, which of the "Neutral" features are enabled as of v1.1-Beta 2?) Currently, I almost always play "Good" because I love the "Good" specific ship defenses, but I would really like to be "Neutral" once in a while. I have toyed with the notion of having a "Damn Neutrals" custom race, a la Futurama...just for fun.

Thanks in advance for any input...and I LOVE this game!

PS - I tried being "Evil" once, but it wasn't as enjoyable as I thought.

neutral doesnt get any weapons or defences do they? didnt it say that but i could have sworn reading something from brad that said they werent actually there, because a neutral race wouldnt think about weapons or defence. i dont know haha im probably wrong

There's plenty of precedent for aggressive neutrals, for example, xenophobic isolationists who lash out when their territory is violated. Those folks will need decent ingame perks to help violently enforce their neutrality.

I think neutral is fine as it is (when it is working )

Being neutral isn't about war technology - defense with good, weapons with evil. The benefits are amazing with neutral as it boost your ECONOMY making you an incredible powerful.

Here are the benefits:
- It allows you access to all your unterraformed tiles meaning that there is a branch of research you can completely miss out thus saving you money AND time.
- More trade route, you can get so much more money than everyone else.
- Better morale, allowing you to get more votes, or get more money from higher taxes.
- More money from tourism bonus.
- You buy ship at a discount meaning that you can ignore military building and just buy the ships. You can easily go from no ships to an armada in a few turns! Especially with the extra income.

You might not have the strong weapons, or the almighty defence, but you don't need to because you have numbers.

I think for 1.2 they should give neutrals a weapons tech i thought that phasing (1D phasing, 2D phasing) from the original game would be good because it improves both weapons and defense which would be keeping with the concept of neutrality

If you only knew the power of the Evil Side. Frogboy never told you what happened to your father.

Evil are those who are completely on the dark side.
Neutral is just another term for those who cannot completely resist the power of the dark side.
