Fullscreen made my game unplayable

How do you fix it?

I put my screen on full screen and now when i start the game up, the buttons dont want to be pressed...

The mouse moves around the screen but when i try to click on a button on the menu its as if it isn't there, the buttons dont even light up. I've tried reinstalling it twice but it still hasn't worked it. I can't get into options to switch it back no matter what i try..

How do i fix this?!

Find your prefs.ini file and you can manually adjust it there.

MyGames/GalCiv2/prefs.ini

I believe the command line needs to be changed to something like:

Fullscreen=0

Someone who has done this before correct me if I'm wrong on that last part.

We need a little more system info.  Could you post the contents of your debug.err which is in your Galciv II directory?

i'VE HAD this happen to me before, what I did was chane the resolution. For some reason if i tried to press buttons too low on the screen it would try and click the taskbar. Your keyboard works, if It's the same thing that happend to me. Just go back to windows mode, and keep the resolution lower than the desktop resolution. Should work then.

In the directory where you installed GC2 at, which is C:\Program Files\StarDock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2 by default, thre should be a file named debug.err. Open that file in notepad, and copy/paste everything in it into a post here.

The Prefs.ini file is located in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2.  It can be opened in notepad.
