Great Game, cannot stop playing.

Question is this I play on gigantic maps with 6-9 AI players and was wondering how long a typical game may last in turns? My current game has gone on for at least 200 turns now. I am not at war with anyone as yet. Not sure about the AI players though.

At least. Depends on what type of game and difficulty. I had a Dread Lords on Parade game on Tough where only they and the other Evil Civs were killed by me and we went deep into year 2237. I think that's around 600 turns!

There are many different factors like:ethical alinment, difficulty, how many ai players, and much more.

You ask how many turns does a game last. But how long does a turn last? Well into a game on gigantic map, you will have many planets and ships to manage. So as the map size increases not only does the game last more turns but the average turn length also increases!

Gigantic is average 10 years. That would be 500+ turns

Thanks guys for you answers. Was just curious. Yes as your empire grows so does the turn length both waiting for it to run and also to work on it. So many things to do. Makes this old guy happy! LOL
