+25 Star Ship Bonus Event ??

Okay what gives here...how does this work...... you get an event in which you can buy secrets or whatever from pirates and you in turn get a +25 bonus to starships???

Okay then what does this mean exactly, cuz I look into the states screen after getting 4 of these situtations that I jumped on as the Dregen...Oh ya!! but am not sure I see any increses in ship states...

I've been wondering about this one myself. It doesn't seem to be anything that is part of the abilities list. The XML file doesn't really say so my guess is it's some internal bonus that they hard coded.

Are you refering to moral dillema when colonizing the planet? After colonizing it go to the detail screen, it shoudl list any of these special bonuses. They only apply to the planet.

ARGGHH!!! Love those pirates. This is one of the few times I will go evil on those decisions. Check your stats for ships produced on planets with that bonus. You will see them there. But it's only on ones produced on that planet. I got the pirate one for +34% and that quickly became my ship factory.

As mentioned, the bonus should show on the detail screen on that planet.

It just makes ships build faster. There's no other benefit. But it's still kewl in my book....

Almost like a military production bonus without the extra cost, and only applies to one planet.

i think the description of it should be revised then, make it alittle bit more clear...

(instead of starship bonus call it "military construction bonus")

Ships produced there have their attack capability increased by the stated percent. No defense bonus though.

It just makes ships build faster

Wrong. That would be a production bonus. But that bonus applies to social production too.

I always select the good or neutral choice (because I'm a nice guy plus it makes the game harder) so I have never taken their offer. Does the bonus appear when you look at the planet "Details" screen?

Correct. Although you took some of the fun out of it by telling him. Much more fun to pull up a ship and find and say "hey, where did that extra attack power come from. I need to go attack Yor now..."
