+ 25 Star Ship Bonus in Event??

Okay what gives here...how does this work...... you get an event in which you can buy secrets or whatever from pirates and you in turn get a +25 bonus to starships???

Okay then what the bloody hell does this mean exactly, cuz I look into the states screen after getting 4 of these situtations that I jumped on as the Dregen...Hell ya!! but am not sure I see any increses in ship states...

ideas?

I believe they are supposed to give +HP to ship hulls. Unfortunately... in the 1.1B patch, at least, I got a +40% to "Ships" planet. Wow! I'll never, ever choose "Good"! I made it a pure industrial world, and then... pumped out ships exactly like ships from all my other planets, with the same 10 HP for "Small" vessels.

So, yeah - I think it is broken right now.

I also wonder about +Weapon and +Defense bonuses. If a 1/1 ship attacks a 1/1 ship, but one ship has a +3% Weapon bonus (from anomalies), they're still both 1/1 ships. Do bonuses these affect anything except in the very, very, very late game?

The starship bonus is a bonus to weapon values for ships produced on that planet. It will take a long time for 3% bonus to be noticed, but a 30-70% starship bonus is very noticeable reasonably early-on.
