Could you post your debug.err file?

Do a Windows find (Start->Search->enter "debug.err" click ok) then when it finds the file open it, select all of the file, copy it and paste it into a post on here.

When I go to update the driver it tells me that i have the best driver for this card. Any suggestions?

There's a few people using the mobility ATI cards and experiencing problems so just have a quick search on these forums and you should be able to find a link to new drivers to use.

Speaking of updating drivers i cant update mine. When i do gc2 doesnt even run, it takes like10 mins for the play menu to load (it fades in frame by frame) and i havnt got past that point kuz i just cant. Anyway could sumone tell me why my old driver work better than my new ones? ....or better yet why dont the new ones work at all?

Radeon 9250.

You need new drivers. Alot of people are having luck with Omega Drivers.

Also your audio drivers are 2 years old as well, and I'd update them too.

Also, try running the game at the same resolution as your desktop, just to make sure you can run it. Try running at different resolutions once you are sure you can run the game.

I'm 90% sure it is your old drivers on your mobile gfx card though.

Go to the ATI website and look up the driver there. They have one from January of this year at least, since that is the version I am using. They probably have a newer one than that too.

I have the same issue on my HP zd7000 - HP doesn't have any newer drivers (1/2004) (5600 card) and the NVIDIA site's latest drivers won't install - the setup quits.

Have you tried getting help from nvidia? You might have a corrupt download and need to redownload the drivers. Also, the Omega Drivers link I posted above might work for you as well.

These are ATI drivers so nVidia won't be helpful for that.

This is the same card my laptop has in it and it's what I use to demo the game when I visit the game magazines.  You just need newer drivers.

Downloaded it - will give it a try when I get home.  Thanks.

Frogboy - what version of the nVidia drivers are you using for the 5600?  The one that wouldn't install is 81.98.

I think he was referring to the OP's gfx card, not yours.
