Hu ho! Tech trading (Another hu ho!)

Greetings,

I trade my techs a lot. Especially at the beginning of the game, it gets me money and by buying stuff, it can boost the start.

Did you notice if you trade each tech separately, the AI gives you more money than if you trade it in a bunch?

For example:

Tech 1: AI gives you 10BC
Tech 2: AI gives you 10BC
Tech 3: AI gives you 10BC

Tech 1, 2, and 3 together, the AI gives you 22 BCs.

It takes a lot of patience, especially at the beginning of a game with 9 opponents to suck up the milk...oups...the BCs from the AI.

Yep, it has been stated several times. Selling 1-2 techs separately generates more trade income than clumping 4-5 techs together. It's tedious work at best...but until they fix it, not much we can do.

Tech trading with the AI is an exploit and you shouldn't be doing it if you're really that good.

The AI trades tech's amoungst themselves, so if your not trading tech then your essentially gimping yourself. It has been stated many times it is not an exploit, which is why there is going to be an 'option' to disable it.

This is how things work in real life too. Sell a lot of 10 used games on eBay and you'll get 50 bucks. Sell them each separately and you might get $10 apiece.

I'm curious, does this work in reverse? If I were buying tech from the AI would they give me a 'discount' for buying multiple techs at once, or does it only work when they are the buyer?

Anyone know, maybe I'll check it out when I get off work.
