I find that they generally do decently, though no more or less so than other civs. They do annoy me more than others, though. I usually play Terrans, so their little speach about how Terrans are almost like them so its a matter of course that I be conquered kinda irks me.

Someone must have surrendered to them. The altarians do generally do well, but if you aren't a good civ they wont like you for long (unless you could own them in a few turns )

The Altarians are "good" and militaristic, so I wipe them out the first chance I get.

I've always thought they were a little too smug and "goody goody" and deserved to be conquered.

The hardest race to keep the peace with (for me) is the Terrans. I swear they are magnetic and simply cannot keep away from me. Its like... oh, I'll go inhabit a corner of the galaxy, and the Terrans show up a turn later on some irritable planet named "Earth".

Me, there is no way in heck i've ever managed to keep peace with korx.

But, i've noticed that the Altarian empire start off slow and if you leave them alone for too long, their economy gets really strong and then they create a good army. So, kill them early.
