Do Overlapping Starbase Effects Stack?

I've played a couple different mini scenarios, and can't seem to get an answer for myself, so I'll ask the question here.

Let's say I have a planet with an economic starbase on either side of it. Do I get the production/social/military bonus from BOTH starbases? Or is it limited to just the base with the highest rating?

Yes you do! It's especially important if you play in a very small galaxy or a medium one with rare suns, planets and habitable planets as you really need the boost then. On those settings, I tend to have only 1 or 2 worlds of my own and will normally put 4 econ starbases around. On a gigantic map, I focus first on the prime planets, getting 2 starbases up to cover as many in the system and neighbouring systems as possible.... then slowly work down the planets, always trying to get as many in the radius of effect as possible. Sometimes you need to plan ahead a little for this to be able to get maximum coverage from multiple starbases.

Starbases have the parsec limit for that exact reason. In GC1 you could build them right next to each other, which was nasty with 120 +170% production starbases in one sector.
